Tijssen Elektro’s MPA system has been developed as a technical tool to optimize a ship’s safety and performance. However, multimedia applications such as Internet, audio/video, satellite TV, etc. can also be installed on today yachts, making a full AV program available to guests and crew. The supply and installation of integrated AV systems is one of the company’s growing activities.

AV systems are based on a local area network (LAN) and provide streaming video and music on demand. On a central server, captain and crew can store DVD, Blu-ray movies as well as CD music. So each cabin has access to a comprehensive AV library via its own media player.
Alternative stand alone AV systems are also used.

Tijssen Elektro offers a wide choice of speakers, AV amplifiers and television screens. Therefore, the AV system is very flexible and can be fully customized. Television screens can be delivered in different sizes and a wide variety of both LCD and LED screens. Even the use of projectors is within reach. In close collaboration with the shipyard, TV lift systems are very often implemented, from standard pop-up lifts to ceiling and/or rotating lift systems. With regard to the AV amplifier and speakers, both available space and quality play an important role.
