More than thirty five years of experience in marine electrotechnical systems and electronics and a team of 75 very experienced professionals have made Netherlands based Tijssen Elektro to what the company is today: a recognized turn-key supplier of sophisticated products for motor- and sailing yachts, such as light, high and low voltage installations; navigation, communication and entertainment systems; and their unique control, monitor and alarm system: the Maritime Personal Assistant (MPA)®.

In The Netherlands, Tijssen Elektro has two branches where expert employees take care of the entire installation of systems, including designing, integrating, commissioning and maintenance.
The company works in close partnership with naval architects and yacht builders and employs a group of specialists that can be deployed for maintenance and
technical support all over the world. This allows Tijssen Elektro to act flexibly before, during and after the actual installation of any electrotechnical system and to make adjustments to the yacht’s installation whenever and wherever required.

Our expert knowledge has proven itself in a wide and diverse field of expert activities, resulting, for instance, in stunning mega-yachts built by internationally recognized yacht builders. It has also been successfully applied to tugboats and commercial ships for port control. Moreover, the company has also gained expert knowledge of every form of
certification, and all its installation projects meet the standards as required by Lloyds, ABS and DNV. Their approval of an installation not only implies a guarantee for quality, professionalism and safety but also ensures the full satisfaction of customer interests.

Tijssen Elektro’s after-sales department takes care of all questions and enhancements of onboard systems deliveries, not only electrical and MPA systems but also navigation, communication and entertainment equipment. Specially trained engineers travel all over the world to carry out service and maintenance jobs on board. With their valuable experience
and input, Tijssen Elektro’s engineering department can modify or add special functionality in any system.
